this is awesome and this episode was so sad I cried for 30 minutes and me and my friend said that everyone who saw this probably cried and I also drew stuff mainly just a bunch of crying eyes but I drew some things from the episode and every time I look at art for that episode I feel like I might cry I have tears in my eyes right now

Sorta. 90s cartoons seemed to mainly focus on being edgy and 'cool'. However AT's written very well.
I could argue that rugrats had it's moments, especially when it came to Chuckie and his mother struggles. Rugrats can be viewed as a series written about infant and child mentality so the Chuckie parts were really touching because you saw how things referring to loss and the lack of certain parental figures are taken by a youth.
Rocko's modern life also had a few episodes focusing on the personal struggles of an animator. The Bigheads'son, Ralph, was a in-show satire to Joe Murray's experiences with Nickelodeon. This is most prominent in the episode "Wacky Delly". As someone who wants to illustrate what makes me happy, and to keep myself creative, I felt a deep connection with the character's plights.
