Yep, even I've jumped on the Steven Universe bandwagon...Anyways, since I've literally put up nothing other than Transformers in two months, I figured that I should do something different. So have some fanart of the fandom I have recently begun to obsess with. Honestly, not the first time I've drawn one of the Gems, but it's the first time I've ever drawn Lapis, who is definitely one of my favourites. X3 I did in my style though. Hence the difference in things like a bit of the outfit and the body shape. I also added freckles because...it just fits her, you know? I feel like her anatomy might be a bit off though...or it could just be the shading...not sure.
Anyways, the next thing will for sure be Tfa, so this was kind of to take a quick break....hmm...not much else to say...other than that this will not be the last of the Steven Universe fanart...

Hmm... I still say my favorite Gem out of the group is Garnet, and not because my birthday falls in January XD

Actually, i have to admit that Lapis is rather annoying in my opinion. Sure she's chilling out a little, but there wasn't really much reason for her to really be rude to everyone else, minus a few token moments that are easily forgiven...

Hmm...I think out of the main group, my favourite would either have to be Pearl or Garnet...probably Pearl...not sure. XD
I'm not sure what it is that makes me like her....maybe how interesting she is or something? Or maybe those odd moments that she does something good...I'm not sure. Though I have yet to see her in the third season. I haven't watched those yet.

Though Peridot is slowly becoming a favorite....
I mean she's interesting, but in season one there was a misunderstanding that could easily been fixed if she had just calmed down long enough to hear the other side of the story... i don't really approve of characters overreacting just for the sake of conflict for the story. I mean, i get it, she was trapped in a mirror, but Steven and the Crystal Gems didn't put her in the mirror and yet blamed them anyways...
Eh... all i'm gonna say is that's she's chilled a little bit from what i watched...

Yeah, I like Peridot too...but since I haven't gotten overly far in the series, I've only seen her villain side so far...
Hmm...I always thought that she got pissed off because even though the Crystal Gems didn't know she was alive at first, when they did find out I think they were planning to just keep her in the mirror...
Well, I look forward to watching season 3 then. X3

Peridot is something to look forward too then... she's gotten, well, don't want to spoil anything....
Well, she was a broken gym, they probably thought she wouldn't be stable enough if they ever got her out of the mirror, so even if they did know she was alive, they probably didn't think she would survive... they make it sound like Broken Gems are unstable and unpredictable... i mean it worked out that it wasn't the case, but there was no telling what would happen when Steven pulled her out the mirror....

Hmm...good point. I didn't think of that. I just guessed that they wouldn't have let her out because they knew she wasn't a Crystal Gem. So she probably would have still been loyal to their Homeworld. And they probably just didn't want another enemy....

Well, she was kinda stuck in between everything, and with all the confusion... If they knew she was alive in there, yes, i do think they would consider her not being a part of their team. However, if they knew she was still a gem in need of help, i really do think they would have helped her as much as possible. Then, if they realized that she was a threat to Earth, they would have bubbled her like they did with every other gem...
But Lapis acted like, after the initial shock, she wasn't really a fighter. She would fight to defend herself, but avoid conflict at all costs, so if she was loyal to homeworld, she wouldn't be loyal for long i don't think, but wouldn't join the gems either...

Hmm...yeah, you're right. They probably would have tried to help as much as the could have until she proved that she didn't deserve it...then yeah, she would have been put in a bubble...
Hmm...yeah, I noticed that at the end of season two. To me, she didn't seem like she was on a specific side. More just in the middle and sometimes switching the side she was sort of on depending on the situation....

So yeah, i see why she would have acted the way she is, but i still think she overdone it a little... but now i think she's gonna eventually come around, if nothing else, for Steven...

Hmm...yeah, I think she'll come around more in season three...I haven't had to the chance to watch full episodes yet, but I've seen a few clips....
