Thought it was time I draw something other than Transformers. I'm probably gonna have something Transformers related up later today though. I had this fully coloured and half shaded sitting on my computer for the past week or two so I thought it was time to quickly finish it rather than forgetting about it for a few months and end up deleting it.I'm surprised I haven't drawn more Steven Universe stuff considering how much I love it...Eh, there will probably be more soon. I'm thinking of doing that Pearl Challenge I've seen a few other artists do. Not sure though. I'm just waiting for this hiatus to be over and the new episodes to be out.

... Is it me that i prefer your style for Pearl than i do the actual cartoon style Steven Universe employs? Granted this version overall is better than season one Pearl. Season one Pearl just looked... weird...

Yeah, your style for Pearl looks more cohesive than the style of the show, granted i'm use to it by now, but in the first season, i had a hard time looking at her...
A little of both really, the style looked too much like Adventure Time (And i don't like that show) and Pearl's outfit was... eh... odd... When she poofed and got a different outfit, only then did i find her tolerable to look at... which is bad, but Pearl was the weird one out the bunch...

Yeah, they didn't really have a fully set, fleshed out style in the first season....or at least until the end of it....
I can't say I've ever watched Adventure Time....watched a couple clips and a couple episodes but, meh.....I think what bothered me the most was Pearl's first outfit....not sure what about it did, but something just bugged me....I do love her past outfit though. The 80s themed one. I think that one might be my favourite. X3

That's usually the case... animation and art style tends to get better once after the first season if it survives long enough for a season two...
Adventure time had a few moments... but overall was annoying... my sister loved watching it constantly for awhile. i think its still going on or at least airing still on Cartoon Network...
I think it was more the color scheme with her first outfit. Something about that orange pink that kinda bothered me, and it just didn't look good in my opinion... Garnet and Amethyst's color schemes have been way better than what Pearl was given and i'm glad they fixed that when she poofed...

I could never really get into it....Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's still on TV. I'm not sure if it's still going, but I'm pretty sure it is....
Hmm...it wasn't so much the colour scheme for me....well, aside from the green socks...those were out of place....I think it was mainly that weird skirt part....and also the socks...the socks overall didn't go with the first outfit. They go with the second outfit though....But that skirt...something about it just irked me.....Yeah, Garnet and Amethyt's colours were fine right from the get go....

Its happened with a lot of TV shows, however, i did notice that the new Robots in Disguise that followed Bumblebee after Transformers Prime didn't have this issue... they just added onto what they could do in terms of style and animation....
I think it is... i think its up there with spongebob honestly... it never ends....

Hmm...I think with 3D animation it's the same throughout because any changes would be so much more noticeable....But if it's 2D like Steven Universe, it's noticeable, but it's not like it's a completely different show....

No... RID was actually a 2-d, 3-d hybrid, but the motion of the animation improved by the end of season two... i noticed a similar thing with TFP the motion of the bots became more fluid/natural if that made any sense...
I think Steven Universe is still hand drawn, not with actual paper, but still drawn on tablets or something, so they can muck around with the animation. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...

Was it? Ah, I haven't had to chance to fully watch it yet. I've seen clips and whatnot, but that's about it. But I meant sort of like the style of the characters, like how they're drawn and designed.
Yeah, Steven Universe is hand-drawn. I like it's on tablets, but I could be wrong....

In some ways you could tell it was 3d but you could also tell where it was 2d. the animation style was actually pretty neat. it certainly differentiated itself from its predecessor. Season one is on netflix, but not sure about the rest of the series... personally i liked season two more than season one, but its been a fun ride watching it regardless...
it has to be on tablets, no one does anything on paper anymore in terms of animation. Or at least, the big budget companies at least...

I think its solid... still prefer the Prime version, though i'll admit i still prefer TFA's style to anything else, but RID does come at a solid third place in my book...

Yeah, I definitely prefer Tfp's animation of RiD. Hmm...I like the detail of Tfp, but I'd still go with Tfa's style any day as well.

Yeah, TFA is probably the best. It had a few quirks, but the style was endearing.
