Lyssa Whelio:

Lyssa was born to a prominent family in the Kanto region. Her parents were highly respected herbalists, making new medicines for Pokemon and Humans alike, with new and astounding findings all the time. Because of how well respected they were, they moved around a lot.
This didn't bother Lyssa too much, mainly because she also shared her parents' passion. She enjoyed going out into the forests as a young girl and assisting her parents in their research.
When she was older, her parents retired, but her passion and knowledge had only grown and flourished in the passing years. She had grown up to be a normal, polite, respectable girl. She had taken over the family business and had become well known and respected in the scientific community, finding healthy alternatives to the mass produced potions and antidotes. She moved to Lavender Town and even found a man she fell in love with. Everything was going great and she was engaged and happy. Her research was going very well and she had money to spare.
One day, during the winter season, she had traveled halfway across the world to research some new, interesting Grass Pokemon deep in a forest uninhabited by humans. She was so thrilled at some of her findings that she spent longer than she had meant to and lost track of time. By the time she realized what time it was, it had become to dark to see very far. She stumbled upon a large group of Mismagius, chanting in a circle.
The Mismagius, having their nest disturbed, turned on Lyssa, chasing her through the forest, chanting louder and louder, slowly driving her into a panic. She had no idea where she was running, and the Pokemon continued to chase her, hounding her every step.
Their flight through the forest caught the attention of a pack of Houndoom, the Mismagius' chanting driving them into a frenzy, and they, too, joined in the chase, howling their anger.
Lyssa's body was exhausted past the breaking point, and her mind was being torn apart by the wailing of the Pokemon. She had no idea how long she had been running. She didn't have any clear thought in her head at this point. After hours and hours of being chased down by the relentless Pokemon, her mind was about ready to snap.
Somehow, she found herself falling into a hole in the ground that had been covered by heavy brush. She landed hard, breaking one of her legs. She had fallen into an underground cavern, which happened to be a Wild Hypno's Den. In a psychotic rage, Lyssa lashed out at the Pokemon. Startled, the Hypno lashed back with it's psychic powers, shattering what was left of her mind, leaving her crumpled and broken on the cavern floor.
It was 4 days later when a rescue team finally found her. She would barely respond, and she was laughing hysterically. Psychiatric doctors said her mind was broken and had endured too much trauma. Her Fiance, not wanting to send her to a Psych ward, and hoping he could bring her out of it one day, took her home. after a year, he gave up hope, and left her alone.
Lyssa was a shell of her former self. She was still brilliant, and she could function just as well as she could before, but her mind was twisted now. She traveled the world, camping out in forests and caves. Some people thought she was a witch of some sort. She continued to practice her medicines and herbal mixtures, but in a strange and twisted way that her previous colleges would find immoral and insane. She has even taken to this image and obtained, somehow, a cauldron that she drags around with her to mix her potions in. She prefers to be cooped up in a small area when working, the steam and smoke from her work clouding whatever area she is in and creating quite the "mystic witch doctor" vibe.
She found her way to the Ohana Islands a few years later. The members of Worst Team found her and recruited her for her talents in making potions and strange herbal mixtures.
She now has a perpetual grin on her face, much like that of a Gengar, and she is always laughing. Most of the time it is a low, quiet chuckle that can barely be heard, but she laughs loudly at absolutely anything, as though she finds everything to be hilarious. Even if she were to be beaten half to death by a gang of criminals, she would be laughing and smiling the whole time. Even in her sleep she's smiling and laughing.
This isn't to say she can't take things seriously and get things done. She can and will, she'll just be laughing the whole way. Don't let the empty look in her eyes fool you though. Behind that face is a twisted humor and an underhanded, scheming mind. Lyssa has taken to pulling harmless ( most of the time ) pranks on unsuspecting trainers. This shows in her battle tactics. Her main priority in battle is to utterly annoy the opponent. Every move is made to frustrate and anger and disorient, and it doesn't help that she's laughing psychotically the whole time.

The Team:

Hilton the Parasect:
Hilton was Lyssa's very first pokemon. Given to her by her parents when she was deemed old enough to be responsible for one. They took an instant liking to one another and grew a deep and loving bond. Hilton is her best friend and also her best research partner. The Parasect probably knew more about herbal medicines than most humans. Lyssa uses the mushroom growing on Hilton's back and it's spores to aid her in her research and creation of potions and toxins.
Of all her Pokemon, Hilton is the only one who can actually get through to her from time to time and act serious. Her efforts for her trainer are usually thwarted by Georgina.

Georgina the Gengar:
Georgina was obtained by Lyssa shortly after she returned to her then Fiance in lavender town. At the tame, Georgina was a prank loving Ghastly and found a friend and understanding in the broken mind of Lyssa. Lyssa and Georgina are often whispering plots to one another and thoroughly encourage each other to pull their awful pranks on others. Georgina is, in the simplest terms, an instigator, and loves nothing more than to have a good laugh at another person's expense.

Marcus the Shuckle:
Marcus was found by Lyssa one day when she flat out tripped over him. She and Georgina had a good time kicking him around as a soccer ball and shaking him to see if he had any treats to give. After a while of nothing happening, they got bored and Lyssa decided she would actually do a little poking around on the inside. She soon discovered that the Shuckle was not only a very rare color for it's species, but also could be a huge help in her research and creation of potions and toxins. Marcus isn't very personable and doesn't have much of a personality to speak of.

Telulu the Mawile:
Telulu is best described as a snarky, stuck up, prissy princess with a mean streak a mile wide. Lyssa met her a few years after her mind snapped. Telulu basically led Lyssa on a long, wild goose chase which almost ended in Lyssa losing her right hand under a bolder, the whole thing being a prank the Mawile had set up for the fun of it. Lyssa caught her and they've been good friends and co conspirators ever since.

Sabastion the Torkoal:
Sebation is the stalwart fuddy duddy of the group. He acts like an apathetic old man. Lyssa met him one day while wandering around, looking for something to do. She found the Torkoal and promptly started an intense and heated staring contest with him, only to realize, four hours later, that he was sleeping. She caught him and uses him mostly to heat her cauldron.

Marshal the Choroneko:
If Pokemon could be flaming homosexuals, then that is precisely what Marshal is. He is a drama queen and loves to over dramatize everything. He takes great pride in his appearance and even walks like a diva with an attitude. Marshal is the newest member of Lyssa's team. Lyssa met and caught him after she, Georgina, and Telulu tried to pull a prank on it and Marshal turned it back on them. Needless to say, Lyssa and the others found this as very awesome and she promptly caught him.
