I see what you (or I guess I should say you and *Yart ) mean. The purpose of art isn't supposed to be to get validation from others, and it's not the end of the world if someone doesn't like your work. Artists are a sensitive bunch though, so I guess we forget that once in a while.

But at the end of the day, art is what you make of it, and validation is just that nice little added bonus that comes later.
