Ehehehehe...so I've been testing out polymer clay over the past few months and this is what I've got so far: a simple head on a compostable knife... I'm stilling trying to figure what materials to use for this and that but I think I'm making progress.This is a test piece so I won't finish it (the hair is only partially sculpted cuz I got lazy) but I consider it work in progress in the big picture XD I still need to figure out how to make glass eyes and find better paint (that's not toxic...XD)
If I can ever master the art of polymer clay, I'll open up for sculpture bust commissions
then people can have their OC in 3D but that'll be a while from now

I can't ever figure out how to not squish things around when I'm working on clay. What type of tools did you use?

Glass Eyes: You could either buy them pre-made, or perhaps pre-paint beads for use as eyes, and sculpt around them.

You're really skilled at making these head figurines... it's styled really nicely. I could see this kind of model being used for stop motion animation in a film

I like it. I think it's pretty. If had the kind of money it would take for that sort of commission, I would so get you to sculpt one of my OCs when you started taking commissions. As it is, though, I'm broke. *cries*

How big is it? I find it hard to tell by the pictures since it seems bigger in some and samll in others.

Okay! Critique Week starts today, so that is my inauguration critique!^^
First things first, the head looks good, you just need to improve on the nose and the upper lip of the mouth, and for painting the skin would be great to find some dyes, it don't matter what kind of dye is, of the colors red and yellow to do the cheeks a little bit pinkish and make the skin tone more realistic. The hair you should try making more realistic, with more details, if you want to improve. Anyways, by being a test piece, you can just try some crazy things on it, maybe it works!^^ But if you want to improve, you need to pay attention on every critique that you receive, it will be of great help!
