Yeah, don't get me wrong, SPARTANs are total bad asses, but ODSTs are Professional Bad Asses. They do a helluva lot without any sort of real advantage besides the fact that they're nearly insane. And I know what you mean, I love them both a ridiculous amount so it saddened me to know that there was bad blood between em'.
I can understand both sides of the conflict but I do believe that ODSTs deserve some more credit. I mean, after all they do drop through atmospheres in what are essentially giant tin and ceramic cans.

Well, from what i've read i've seen how some spartans prefer working with odst's over the standard cookie-cutter marine. There's a bit of unity for ya. XD Both agree marines are weak. lol *not really but yanno*
yes, they prolly do deserve more credit, but then again they dont seem to mind. They just want to get whatever insane task assigned to them done.

i am currently reading cole protocal, atm. not finished, however. Last part i had read was when Jai lead the odst's+Delgado in a raid on that the jackal ship. While Adrianna was 'securing' the navigation data.
Meanwhile, Reth was preparing for his invasion, and Thel and the Elites were on their way to the jackalship jai was raiding/

Yeah, it really is too bad though because he was a bad ass. Why does every bad-ass ODST have to die?! Well, except for Stacker and a couple others. But yeah, the truce between the two races is ironic and hilarious. I always loved Elites though so it just made me happy! I was just kind of disappointed about the Grunts and Hunters not being on their side. Obviously, for game play reasons they couldn't be allies, but it still would have been cool.

yeah. i was hoping to see the MC and a pair of hunters working side by side too.
But could you imagine gameplay if the grunts and hunters were sided with humanity?

My hope is, IF bungie decides to advance the story-line. *shudders a halo 4 ._.* That they would get more in depth with the alliance between the elites and humans.
Pretty much, that the alliance wasnt just some short-term agreement, that the two former-warring sides came at peace with each other, and are now performing interstellar commerce.
Yanno, trade, rebuilding, even having human-elite fighting squads, yanno?

Yeah, if we did have Hunters and Grunts the fight would be a little un-even. As for the Elite/Human thing, their cultures are so different that it would be hilarious to see their first attempts at co-existing.

Honestly, i think there wouldnt be as much tension between the two at first. I mean, it helps the elites *well most* consider us to be very honorable, and despite our physical weakness compared to them, we still fought them hard.
I just think that if the opportunity would arise, the elites would offer to work with us. They did that with the bravest of grunts during the grunt rebellion, why not us, too?
And yeah i've heard about Halo 3: RECON. lol I thought that was lame they changed the name, personally. Nothin against odst course, but Halo 3:Recon has a rignt to it.

Indeed, but I still think there would be a lot of obstacles they (and we) would have to get over in order for the relationship to work out. Over all I'd say it would eventually work, but I think it would take a little time.
Yeah I have to agree, I was a little upset when I found out they changed the name. ODST makes more sense but Recon sounds cooler. By the way, what do you think of Recon armor?

Most likely, there would be quite a bit of people that would be wanting revenge. Even after the war being over. Think of a futuristic terrorist group, unfortunatly.

I have a feeling though, the elites must be feeling some sort of guilt for their previous actions. I mean, they were following the orders of their now former ruling caste. Theres gotta be some feeling of guilt.

No, it really doesn't. As for Recon, the armor looks cool-ish but I like the other armor more and with the ridiculous fame it has, I don't really want it.

My fave armor is well, if you look @ my photos my latest incarnation is up there. Its a combo of the odst helmet, c.o.b chest piece, and the scout shoulders.

Our candidates so far are ODST helmet, ODST insignia (flaming comet) and a Reclaimer symbol, which is going to be my choice very very soon. I wonder why we never thought of the UNSC logo...thanks for the reminder.
