hey guys, last night i thought id quickly sketch stuff in painter while i was waiting for something to download...... i ended up not going to bed at all and spending 8 straight hours painting, ive not had a session like that in MONTHS! im tired but its gonna be worth it.anyway this is a 100% resolution crop of a small section of the whole piece im working on.... i liked this little section so i thought id post it up.

Just as I sent that I thought it might be taken the wrong way. I wasn't trying to infer that it was the program that produced the good result. I know as well as you that painter, in the hands of a poor artist, will produce at the very best, poor art.

You put so much detail into this, especially the water and the bubbles. I like how you are able to make the two transitions of inside the water and outside the water, and make it look so real. This is hard to do for many. Great work, keep it up!

I like it a lot. You can really experience how the animal dives in the water. I have no where near as much talent as you so its odd critiqueing you, but the glows on the red tails/fins or whatever should be worked on because they are subtle but theres no point to their subtley. Also maybe try a background of somethin. The plain black is really boring. It would be amazing in some crazy place.
