The Journey into Imagination pavilion at EPCOT.Poor Imagination, how Disney has mangled you.
You used to be able to go up on the second floor to run around and play with all sorts of awesome stuff. But alas, no more. The view from inside was pretty interesting, out all those triangles.
At least the fountains are still fabulous.

I do hope that they revert the pavilion once it shuts down next year. Or just start from scratch. I grew up with the original and I miss it so much.

I really don't want them to tear it down. When they tore down horizons, they put up something that was quite ugly in my opinion. Just didnt have the same gravatas. I don't care for buildings that just have a lot of noise in front but the rest of the building is a big square box. To me nothing can replace that beautiful feeling you got when you went up into those pyramids and were surrounded by light, then tucked into the dark neon world of the image works.
Not to mention all the clouds everywhere. thats that "Head in the clouds" feeling I talk about alot.
What I hope is that they can come up with a real sequel to the original ride. I had this idea where they have to face the darkness of their minds (the monsters) and you the rider chooses your ending like horizons. Its the riders "using their imaginations" to defeat the monsters. with todays emv and kuka arm tech it could very well be possible.

One of the best shots I've seen of this fantastic structure. Sadly the same can no longer be said for the inside.

Didnt go when there was an upstairs, but did go till they turned it into 'its a small figment world'. Not so brilliant now, but wish i cuda seen it with upstairs.

One of the coolest things about places is the architecture. This picture shows why it can be so cool.

Epcot has some truly interesting architecture. Everything up front is metallic and shiny and futuristic, everything out back is classic. It's an interesting mix.
