This is such a unique way of sculpting! And you do it so well! How hard is it to use for sculpting?

How long did this take? And you're welcome! Do you have many problems with newly applied glue melting what's under it?

AzeFish In reply to Dragonheart27 [2012-07-07 15:53:06 +0000 UTC]
Nope, I don't have those problems, and this one is still in the works.

Super cool...I have been wanting for a long time to find a way to make figurines similar to plastic...looked into clay but it seems very expensive. This is probably much less expensive...Do you use any tools to help shape the glue? Can it be painted on? I love all the textures you've managed to put into this sculpture, they look amazing.

AzeFish In reply to DreyaCira [2011-12-11 08:08:48 +0000 UTC]
Thank you very much! Yes it can be manipulated with heat, but I primarily use the gun to shape the glue as it's being applied. I've used a wood burner on hot glue to add certain details, and it works to a certain extent. It can be painted on as well. I've used acrylic with a clear varnish over it, and then I've used Krylon spray paint as well. I have so many ideas to use things but I just haven't much time to test them out, but glue is an awesome alternative to a breakable material, my inspiration was my cats that kept knocking breakable dragons off of my shelves. I've never been more content with a medium c:
