Description Part of my most recent journal. *wolfhawkdejavu asked me to create an Ibizan Hound character for her. I chose smooth-coated, mostly white, and lion-red. I know it's supposed to just be a sketch, but I think it's only right that I add at least a little texture and shading to it.

Ibizan Hounds are gorgeous, I must say. They're one of the rarer sighthounds and I just love their overall shape and their marking are usually very unique, unlike some breeds. I did use a ref because my art always looks better if I do, even if I'm not going for realism.

I shall dub her Deborah, though this is rather random and will most likely be changed by *wolfhawkdejavu later. ^.^

Oh my!! She's amazing! Even better than I expected (though your sighthound arts always leave me feeoling wowed!) I absolutley adore all of her markings, and the colors of Ibizans are gorgeous! She's so lanky and leggy!!

Thank you sooo much!! I like the name Deborah, but I may call her Dehb for short (never been fond of Deb as the short version of that name )

You're welcome. ^^ lol. I've had pictures where I liked random parts of the image better than the main image.

Yeah, I've noticed that happens a lot with my art.

In 2005 Ibizans were listed as #133 out of 154 AKC recognised breeds. In comparison: Basenjis were #81, Pembroke Welsh Corgis were #23, English Foxhounds were #154, and Labrador Retrievers were #1. (full list = [link] )
