Description Second Helbrute of my Iron Warriors. This one has a power fist and a reaper autocannon.

The autocannon was nabbed from the Chaos terminator sprue, clipped a bit and then fitted snugly into the hole that was after I forcefully removed the multimelta from the DV Helbrute. Greenstuff galore to cover the join. Luckily, daemonflesh is very easy to make, heh.

I changed the flesh-recipe some for this mini, seeing as I wasn't that happy with the result on the last 'Brute. There is less metal conjoining over the flesh on this one, and I left more of the bruises showing, making it look very nasty. I am happy with that.

Iron Warriors are trademark to Games Workshop Ltd. as are Space Marines and Warhammer 40k.

Name is a nod to Tim Owens. So have some Judas Priest: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMwsad…

you've got a really nice style to paint flesh.

Heh. The fleshy style was developed from the Obliterators. I figured: if you mold flesh with metal, won't it hurt like a bugger? So, yeah, this happened.

Very much liking the daemonflesh - as you said, suitably nasty-looking.

Nice work on the flesh. Looks really sick and mutated. Amazing how the metal parts blend into the fleshy parts.

Thanks! I changed the old method a bit, as it turned out too bright on so large areas of flesh.

And I am confused as to why GW's 'Eavy Metal team didn't go for this on their Helbrutes, Forgefiends and Obliterators and Mutilators. they if anybody should have the skills to pull these kinds of painting tricks off.

I mean, I'm a happy amateur, albeit with 15 years of painting experience.

That conversion must have taken quite a few hours. The fleshing around the weapons and the face of this Hellbrute... looks like a mad mix between science and magic.

Actually, it didn't. It was pretty easy to cut the stuff out and fit into place. I think the conversion work itself took no more than at most an hour, including sculpting time. But I do lose track of time when I work with these things. I enter my zone and just build and paint for hours.

This is why I have the TV or say something like Brows Held High running in the background to keep track of time.

Interesting combination and conversion. most people leave it with just the multi melta.
