Description So I was watching NASA TV sneakily at work all day today 'cause they had a live spacewalk on the International Space Station, and that's nifty.

Tonight though all NASA TV can think to broadcast is the shuttle Discovery in the dark, sitting there doing absolutely nothing, as shuttles are wont to do when not flying. Go figure.

Seriously, it's been over an hour now. WTF, NASA?

So I started daring the shuttle to sprout arms and scratch its nose or something.

...

Oh come on, like we wouldn't all love to see a space shuttle Transformer? We could call him...Shuttlecock!

*crickets*

Yeah, I fail at wit. Sue me

Edit:
Me: It's been over 2 hours now, I'm waiting for it to move!
Boyfriend: A watched shuttle never launches.
Me: ...touche

haha super cute! But the space shuttles on the launchpad don't actually do nothing, I always watched them on NASA TV as well - the super-cold liquid oxygen tank expands and contracts, it appears to be breathing @_@ so kawaii

Indeed

There's actually another deviant who has done the "living shuttle" thing; she calls them "orbiter spirits" She gives the real-life shuttles genders and personalities and has even done a guide on them!!

Here she is:

Hehe I just checked NASA TV, it's STILL THERE aaah, [link]

It's been like...over 2 hours now. I mean they're launching it tomorrow night so I kinda get it...no, not really.

I'm waiting for it to move. Any minute now...

Some people like seeing every single minute of stuff like that.

And then there's us who's inspecting it and waiting for something otherworldly ^^
