It was good for a week but it was not easy because of the hills of Istanbul. Nobody could go to work nor school.

The other day I saw a YouTube video of old men in Turkey sledging on dustbin lids, or something similar - they were laughing and seemed to have shaken off their woes for a day or so.

I saw another story on tv news; a mother and her son were argueing for a piece of wood. They both wanted to sled first.

When I remember right, I have seen it in some news... so I guess it is unusual, ahaha.

It was very unsual to have this much snow for Istanbul. Normally we have rain or snow for a few days. It lasted for a week both snow and blizzard. This is a city full of hills and life with snow was not easy. Only good for photographers and children

I hope there wasn't a lot of car crashes and so on... I guess when it is so unusal, people don't have the right tires and experience.
Hehehe, yeah, I imagine most children have never experienced to build a snowman overthere, so I can imagine it was dreamlike for them.
And of course you -as a photographer- you did a wonderful job!

Yes we had some snow last week and seven years ago mostly, I wish I could see istanbul in snow it must have been stunning
