I was this close to using "foxy" as a title ripAnyways this is a portrait that took me a little too long, and the lady in it is none other that Ysma Thae from the webcomic Chains from the seriously talented and always kind sylessae . Go read it if you like badass ladies and fantasy!!

This is very beautiful! I love the way you render and the gentle warm and cool contrast in the lighting! I'm kinda in awe with the way you do hair, on the character and the light texturing of fur on the fox! This is amazing work!

I also spend most of the time on the hair, so I appreciate your words a lot! animals are still very foreign creatures to me since I'm not used to painting them, but they're fun for sure haha.

Well, that's really helpful to know, I'm so grateful for your feedback! I do have to draw more animals though, especially because one of my ocs is supposed to have a bunch of pets so it's a disservice to her to forget about them whenever I paint her 
The piece you have with a jellyfish is absolutely gorgeous though, I'm obsessed with all the colors and how full of grace it looks! honestly goals <33

Out of all the entries, I genuinely thought you had one of the best designs and composition. The sap green fiery orange color contrast really helps this one stand out from the rest. I don't really know the story but I like that you tried to show a relationship between these too.

Ooh. wow. Her hair looks so, so soft! She's absolutely gorgeous too. I have to admit I didn't go and look at the comic, but the way you portrayed her looks amazing anyway. The detail around her eyes, the shading on her nose; they're perfect!

Nah, but seriously though I appreciate your feedback a lot! I trust your critical eye (you have amazing skills and always bother to give in-depth comments on top of that!), and I always feel humbled when I hear your takes on my art. I personally adore Ysma as a character too, she's the kind of smart and calculating lady that I love reading or knowing about, so painting her was just an amazinga experience.
Plus I got to add a fox, and even though I hadn't ever drawn one I did found out they were a lot of fun to paint! (and I definitely learned a ton about fur, I think)

Honestly though your interpretation of Ysma is part of what inspired me so much to try and tackle her on a portrait! I've never thought yellow could look as good, and you're one to speak of elegance since all of your characters look straight out of a glamorous lifestyle or even a magazine omg
