Description It's finished I can't believe how fast I had done this one. I did in about five days, but they were pretty spaced out (I'm lazy). For each day, I spent about three hours on it.

This is a horrible cell phone picture. I took some pictures with my camera, but I have to wait to get the film developed to post it. So expect an edit sometime in the next few days!

I used woodless graphites, a mech. pencil, and tissues/my finger for blending.

I tried to fix the chin being too short, but it looked rather hideous when I changed it. So I tried my best to cover it up

The thing on the neck is some kind of cloth thing, but I kind of tried to make it more surreal/what-the-heck-is-that. I have my own ideas of what it can be, one of them being the title I simply adore that song.

I simply adore Audrey Hepburn. She's not beautiful in the model sense...She's full of characteristics. And such a beautiful person on the inside This photo was an ad for a perfume dedicated to her by Givenchy. I think it was the late 60's.

Beautiful tones established, with a varying pallete of light and dark that most artists are afraid to do.

The anatomy of the face is a little bit off, with the left eye drooping down abit, and the left cheek kind of droopy too.

Also, the eyes aren't in line with the face, often happens with drawing faces at a 3/4 view.

But awesome shading though kudos

Without the rest of the body for context, the neck looks VERY long. The eyebrows look thicker than normal. I also think that the lips look like they're not aligned correctly. It's as if they are too far down on the face, and not angled correctly.

I'd be interested in seeing the reference you used for the piece. The textures and the shading look amazing, and I would hate to criticize your work if it is truly reflective of the model.

It's so pretty...I can't stop staring at it!!!!

But anyways, stupid book made me very serious with texture and stuff. So my only advice is that it's really too smooth, so try to add a tad bit texture to her. The face is never completely glossy. Now, I'm not sure how smooth it'll look like because she's most likely wearing makeup, so I'm not sure if this would fully apply or not...

But I just love the hair and neck, especially the hair. It's so flowy and stuff!

She seems like an interesting person and it really does make her pretty, too.

And the title really really matches with the drawing. I don't know why, but it does.

Thanks so much for the critique! You are definitely right with the smoothness. That's a problem that I've noticed I have with this and the other Audrey drawing. I almost tried drawing pores and stuff like that, but I decided that that was way too much work for me and I haven't quite got the patience for it But now that somebody noticed it out, I guess I have to look into it

I love, love, love the song Moon River. The first few lines are in my signature It's just so sad and reminiscent, just perfect for Audrey.
