You're a wonderful artist! I'm really excited about this project and I hope you get to finish it in time for AB!

Thank you SO much! I REALLY want this done for AB. Generally none of my costumes would really apply for anime Boston mostly because I'm not actually that into anime and thus wouldn't dress up as any characters (plus I feel terrible about my body image and am too scared, really, to be seen outside of my full body costumes anymore). But AB 2015 is right up my ally! I can have a relevant costume and not just people going "that's SO cool! .... WTF is it though?" Β hehe.

Being into anime really doesn't matter. people will appreciate your costume no matter what its from, so long as you put effort into it. (the past few years my main costumes have all been from videogames. Because I'm not into anime that much either)
Trust me, given the effort you've already put into it, even if you just finish the head and don't get to the rest of it, people are going to go nuts over it.
And I can't alleviate all your body image fears (I know, because I've been there too.) But let me just say, you are beautiful. Walk with confidence, because you are great. Just look at what you can create! That's amazing!
And about going outside in costume? Screw other people, this is your craft. It's art. All artists get flack.
Constructive criticism is one thing, but if people are deriding your work simply because THEY don't like it? screw 'em. Yeah their comments hurt, but ultimately they don't matter in the slightest.
If you like your work, and it makes YOU happy, thats what matters. And if you enjoy making something, chances are other people will enjoy it as well.

Yup! Problem is I got married on Oct 5th and it's been a whirlwind of hellish paper work and financing issues ever since. I haven't even had so much as two second to look at her again. I'm hoping to get some supplies for Christmas and over the break get going full force again. Being a Canadian and having married an American.....bad things happen AND I need to get EVERYTHING in my entire life changed to reflect my new last name which will cost me nearly $2,000!!!! -dies- Β We're also trying to get a car....that's a whole 'nother barrel of apples. It's just been hell over here.
