Description
An anniversary commission for =Xeraki and =blazer-flamewing . Awww!This is another loose painting. These are a bunch of fun and I'm so thrilled with how this one turned out.
Time: 6 and a half hours
Tools: Photoshop CS4 and Wacom Intuos 4

More awesome coloring. It's balanced very well.
The sharp edges look really great, too.
The lighting all looks consistent, and I don't see any areas with unusual contrast. I like how the necklace with the key looks, and the stars near the top of the picture are a nice touch, too. My favorite aspect of the picture, though is the sense of motion in the manes. That really adds a lot to the pose and picture overall.

Great colors. and the poses are great too. Only the way the left wing is spread seems a bit odd.
I was wondering. Which kinds of brushes do you use? Is the pack downloadble?

The four main brushes I use are actually Photoshop defaults, I just realised. I like to play around with different brushes but these are the ones I'm using at the moment - I tend to fiddle with the brush settings to get variation rather than changing the brush, for now anyway.

I think I get too much practice of painting dragons floating around in the sky.
I actually work on multiple pieces simultaneously so while I'm thinking about one or need a break from it I can work on another. It's good because, while I love painting, I tend to have a short attention span sometimes so this lets me swap around without actually slacking.

Again, continuing to amaze me, the emotion is shown before me, everlasting, my heart rose and I smiled after a long day and through my weariness I was able to appreciate it as if today never happened. Great work once again

What makes a couple drawing better? Having both of them fly.
I don't know that I have much to say for this one. It's obvious that this was a looser, quicker drawing, but it's still a very high-quality piece, of course! Lighting was done wonderfully, as always. And I love their expressions.
