Sexual Dimorphism: Males are slightly larger in size, while females are smaller, have a slightly feminine figure, with larger frills and longer hair-like energy crests, however, there have been males to have long hair-like energy crests too from time to time.

Children and infants are almost impossible to tell, as their defining gender features come in later in life with they start to develop legs.

Behaviour/Bio: A quite unusual race that took to space travelling very early on, their special biology making them perfect to explore the galaxy, even being dubbed the “Starlight Wanderers” as groups of them have been found travelling space, following stars and planets, rarely visiting their home planet unless they have to. They are highly curious, yet gentle beings, who don’t hesitate to offer a helping hand when seeing people in trouble, like coming by damaged space crafts when wandering around.

However, Laconreals are not the easiest to talk to, due to the fact they don’t communicate the same way most races do. They do not have mouths, and don’t speak a language, rather they emit strange hums and vibrations that they pick up on their frills to understand one another, meaning others can’t understanding what they’re saying. And while they’re kind and curious people, they don’t tend to say in one place for long, jumping from planet to planet, so it’s often hard to teach them another way to communicate when they don’t sit still for long.

This also makes their culture, homeworld, and their general way of living a kind of mystery, as not too much it known about them and their history. While they’re not deemed a threat in most places, it can make them seem eerie, and not many know how to approach them. There have been notes that they like to collect souvenirs, and at times people have managed to get them to do a task or two with the promise of something special for them to take with them.

As mentioned before, they often live in sets of groups, most found to be generations of families sticking together, with the occasional new couple wandering off to start their own group. Rarely do you ever find one alone, as they often build close bonds with the ones they love and care for, and have been seen to pick up any loners who may have lost their group.

Abilities:

Energy Discs - With the energy within them, they are able to craft 1-8 energy discs that they can manipulate with ease, flying and tossing them around to slice and cut things with ease. They can change the sizes of them, but there is a limit to how small and how big they can get them.

Vacuum Adaptation - Since they are space travellers, their biology evolved so that they are able to fly through space with ease, not affect by the environment. This is probably why they never created space ships to use, as they had no need to.

Temperature Immunity - They are unable to be affected by any range of temperature (Though there is probably a limit somewhere), helping them to adapt to many environments and conditions most couldn’t.

Illness/Toxin/Radiation Immunity - Because of their strange biology, they are unable to catch any kind of illnesses or diseases, and poisons or toxins can not harm them, even radiation which they feed off of.

Levitation - Able to fly around, hover, and reach decent speed levels, they are master with their levitation ability, using it to their advantage in fights pretty often.

Light Source - Because of their energy, they are constantly glowing and provide a good light source in dark areas. And able to generate small balls of light, based on the same energy they use to make their discs.

Body Temperature Manipulation - Perhaps one of their most unusual biology traits, they are able to change the temperature of their own body to a drastic amount. Meaning with a single touch, their skin could be freezing cold or burning to touch. They mostly use it for defence, but have been known to use it in combat or in small tasks.

Stasis Mode - If needed, they are able to hundle in on themselves and go into a coma-like state, where they fall into a deep slumber to conserve energy. Normally they only do this when they have someone watching over them, as it does leave them open for attack.

High-Stamina/Reflexes/Flexibility/Senses - Laconreals are tough creatures, that aren’t easy to take down, mostly due to how they evolved for space travel. While they’re not out looking for fights, it is wise to just leave them be, especially when they are in groups.

Weaknesses: Struggle against magical energy, as they are better at tanking natural energies. Can not naturally communicate with other races, as they can’t speak, which can cause confusion at times. Can have their energy stolen, crippling them. When in stasis mode, they are not easily woken up, making them easy to capture during these times. Frills are weak-points, striking them hard enough will disorientate them. They are unable to turn off their glow, meaning they’re not the best at stealth if they’re trying to spy or hide.
