I don't know much about the context of things, so I can only view this as similar to Samus and Zero Suit Samus: two sides of the same warrior, so with that, feel free to disregard this critique if that assumption is wrong. Right off the bat, I really like the armor's design with the energy blades, and the details put into the armor bring out its strength and complications in my opinion, but there's not really much else I can say in all honesty. I like the character looking at the camera outside of her suit, like its shooting me the question of "Do you really think you know who I am?" Something about the Hips/Thighs orientation strikes me as odd though: her left thigh, if we follow it to the hip, doesn't seem to be that much in front of the right thigh. I don't know how to exaxctly phrase it, but the best way I can say it is that in my opinion (and you may disagree with me), I have difficult perceiving the distance between her left and right thighs as one looks closer to her skirt [and something about the shape of her body and the way it links with the leg doesn't seem to click well for me.] Smaller details like the reflection on the ground give a little more life to the work, and the "blue/white shadow" on the ground... I don't know i liked it for some reason. Overall, I think it's a cool piece: well done!

Dawn Lumina

Dawn Lumina is the chairwoman of the Atlas Council. A fiery and passionate young woman, she has transformed the Council from a mostly vestigial body into a force to rival General Ironwood himself. This has led to many clashes between the Council and Atlas Academy, and though such arguments are currently civil, some fear that they may erupt into violence.Β
A prodigy from childhood, Dawn was admitted to Atlas Academy at the age of 17. It was there that she first met James Ironwood, then a professor at the school. The two butted heads almost immediately, and this enmity has continued to the present day. Though a skilled fighter, Dawn prefers to let her silver tongue solve her problems, or, failing that, her more physical charms.
Nerina Pontus
Age: 19
Height: 7'5"
Species: Faunus (Short-finned Mako)
Dawn's devoted bodyguard, Nerina is a towering woman with incredible strength. Quiet and reserved, she is much more timid than her intimidating stature would suggest. However, this shy demeanor gives way to fury if Dawn is put in danger, and she is a very fierce fighter.
Born to a high-ranking member of the Atlas military, Nerina was practically raised to be a warrior. Gifted with immense strength and surprising grace, she was selected by General Ironwood for a special training program at age fifteen. However, mental health issues and repeated failures in communication led to her expulsion three years later. Lost and aimless, Nerina's life seemed over before it had begun, if not for the intervention of Dawn, who helped her get back on her feet and find a new purpose.

I really liked how the cold & warm of the colors set them apart, at the same point it seems to place them together.
Nice lines, highlights and shadows!
And the reflection on the floor gave it an amazing touch to it.

From the bios of both characters, I get the impression that the Schnees are the black sheep of the Atlesian upper class when it comes to the racial divide.Β
Also it's easy to think Dawn is the younger of the two.

Yeah, well it's a bit more complex than that, but yeah, at least among the Council the two who aren't bought by the SDC are pretty pro-faunus rights, especially her colleague Timur Pike, who's life was saved back during the Great War (he's really old) by a faunus comrade. My idea was that the more democratic council would be friendlier to minority groups than the autocratic military or the plutocratic SDC
From apperance alone, for sure, but Nerina certainly acts her age despite her skill.

For me I was thinking the opposite since they can't racial
tensions dividing their forces, so they indoctrinate students
in putting their petty differences aside to work together.Β
With how we saw Weiss being astonished by the Atlesian students
that are a musician and faunus who to me is a student of PinkieΒ

Love it! The changes to Nerina's design work really well, especially the energy blades on the bracers, since I was having trouble figuring out how to retract them!

Really like the energy blades there. I'm getting a bubblegum crisis/destiny vibe off of the armor suit which works pretty well. I guess it's because of the white background but it appears it's washing the colors out a tad. Still though, looking very nice.

The original armor desig nΒ was inspired by a combination of Mandalorian armor from Star Wars, and MJOLNR armor from Halo, but yeah, the changes he made look a lot like Destiny and it works REALLY well.
