Summary: Tirrithe and Khatar share a peaceful moment together.

The wind picked up, blowing the snow from the branches and letting it sprinkle down in the changing light as the sun shifted from its peak. Tir gazed around at the simple sight, her breath catching in her throat. The shimmering flakes were like stars, each reflecting a world of its own as it came to join the forest floor at her paws, and it reminded her of the beautiful world they lived in.

“Look,” she hushed, scooting closer until her shoulder brushed the other as she sat back down on her rump. She tilted her head up as the wind once more blew through the trees, through her fur, carrying the melodic scents of the wintry land and filling her with a sense of true peace. A peace she had come to learn was the presence of her beloved spirits.

“It’s the etia,” her voice came in a careful whisper, eyes falling closed as she took a deep breath, “they’re among us… can ye feel it?”

A cold sprinkling of snow landed on his nose and his head, sending a shiver down his spine. Tirrithe scooted closer, her amber eyes wide in childlike wonder. A longing gathered in himself and he paused to stare. White flakes danced like cotton on the wind, with the shimmer of damselfly wings. Giving into the moment, he shut his eyes and breathed deep, in and out. Whether or not he believed in the etia, he believed in the balance of life, Tengeri’s plan for the above and the below. He could relish in that, could he not?

“Yes, I can.”

also this is probably one of my favourite backgrounds I've ever done?? It was so much fun to play with the lighting and sunbeams and snow, even if it was really difficult for me lmao

alternate title, and the title of the original file: can u feel it now mr Khatar

also, any better title ideas would be appreciated cause im not entirely happy with the current one pfff
