Location: Empire Territory
Season: Autumn
Summary: Snowfall comes early to the Empire's mountains. A certain elusive red brute paces the crags, trying to get a glimpse of his former freedom.
Hralay stop wandering, you're gonna get in trouble
A piece I managed to finish somehow. Still struggled a lot with it, and it took much longer than I expected, but I wanted to get a piece done for this boy.
I'm still on a bit of a health hiatus, hoping a few more days or so and then I can get back into it. I have a lot of pieces to work on, but I'm happy to have at least finished something.
Also, I seem to have forgotten how to shade afgjs and I'm still not happy with the clouds--I think they look too flat, but I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so some gentle critique would be appreciated!

The attention to detail in the rocks and snow is gorgeous! And I love the clouds, I think they turned out great! Maybe adding some gradation/ atmosphere to the distant clouds would make them feel more set apart from each other? Or maybe if there was some perspective to the clouds, so you're seeing the underside of them instead of a side view would help? Since you're sort of looking up at Hralay, that might work to give them extra dimension! I think in general though you did an amazing job <3 This is a gorgeous painting!

oooo I always forget about cloud perspective, I think that and some more atmosphere separation would definitely be what I need to keep in mind ahh thank you!
