Description
Graphite pencil portrait of Georgia Stanwix on A4 Winsor and Newton Extra Smooth Surface Bristol board.Pencils: Various Mars Lumograph (6H to 4B), Koh--i-noor woodless progresso (HB to 8B), Faber Castell 9000 8B, mechanical pencil 0.3mm/2B.
Blending: Blending stumps from Boldmere and Royal Langnickel and paper tissues.
Erasing: WH Smith kneadable eraser, Jakar battery eraser, Faber Castell Perfection eraser pencil.
I wish to thank CathleenTarawhiti for her beautiful stock image, Black Veil 2 , which I used as the reference for this drawing.
Edited 29 September 2014: Photograph replaced with one which has better definition and more even illumination.

She reminds me of rouge from the xmen because of the blonde in the front. But I just now realized that shes wearing a hood or a cloak of some sort. I am just still blown away by this imageand hte details. You are wonderful at drawing

Sometime we meet the beauty, sometime we feel the emotion, sometime we see the perfection...
and beyond...there's Georgia !!!
She appears in the light such a saint, she submerges our senses...until we understand that your Masterpiece resound such a "Ave Maria" in our soul !!
I saw the image of reference, and i think you bring a additionnale severity in her face, that express a condolence in front of the pain of people...
I'm looking at her again and again...she breaks our armors, and i'm sure...of a simple look, she could silence a whole army, and force to kneel down the human agressivity
Textures are incredible, the eyes so alive, the hairs which seem in movement, the folds of the skin, the light on her face which pierce the screen...and the hearts
We see the time spent in this work, every quantum of your picture, every note on your range from 8B to 6H...and this commitment in your creativity made the difference between...
...a beautiful picture...and a timeless work that we name...Masterpiece !!!!
