Description Chukchi tea! I had never heard of the Chukchi people until requested I draw Chukchi tea with deer fat. It turns out the Chukchi people are an indigenous Russian population. There are Maritime Chukchi people and Reindeer Chukchi people, the latter of whom depend on reindeer herding to make a living. If you Google 'reindeer Chukchi' or 'reindeer shaman' you will get some cool pictures of people riding reindeer. I unfortunately could get no information on Chukchi tea, but I was so intrigued by the Chukchi culture and dress, I decided to do this! I am still going through a lazy slump but battling through it...

Cool! I didn't know much about the Chukchi until recently, but I found a cool song by the folk ensemble Ergyron called "Nunlingran."

Do you have any other Chukchi-inspired art?

I also recently found out about them, and unfortunately still don't know too much about them. Wow, thanks for the link--the song is very beautiful and haunting.

Right now I don't, but I'm pretty sure their costume and reindeer culture will find its way into my fantasy art!

This is phenomenal! I had no idea anyone but me and a the Russians in Chukotka followed these awesome people.

I don't know anything about Chukchi tea specifically, I believe it may just be black tea. Kombucha tea originated in Russia far as I can tell, but no clue if that happened anywhere near Chukotka.

Anyways... thanks for the awesome picture!
