Description My first decent render with 3Ds Max. It looked better when i rendered it on screen but the output of a jpeg and 100 smoothness made it look like such. My goal was to experiment with caustics, make a glass material including HDR map and also to make a glass, also Experimentation with Caustics. I'd say i'm slowly getting the hang of the prog

Here's a tip for rendering that ive learned in my experience with Maya. When you output the actual render, save it in a .tga or comparable format, and then convert to .jpg in photoshop. This prevents a ton of quality loss, as the built in .jpg compression in the 3d programs isnt quite as good. keep it up, and check out my own caustics experiments in my gallery
