Since to date this seems to be the most popular piece in my gallery, I thought I would add a little bit more to the description.

As it says in the ID on my profile, I'm a mathematician. The process a mathematician takes to understand some given scenario is to build a mathematical model. These can range from simple (like in most ``word problems'' you find in textbooks), to very complex. In essence, it's a little world - with its own properties and assumptions. An interesting example is Conway's Game of Life .

Obviously you would want your model world to mimic the real world, as much as possible, in order to find practical answers. However, if practicality is not the goal then imagination can take over. In either case, you could go as far as to say the mathematician is a little god over his/her fictional world. After all, absolutely everything is at their mercy and control.

Another piece, ``Garden of Eden,'' in my gallery has a similar theme.

The owner of the finger and eye is an exercise for the viewer.
