I FINALLY got around to playing this game last Friday and I beat it in the weekend I got it.
I love it so much and wanted to play it for SO long but couldn't find a decent price for it and it had Likable and hilarious characters,Amazing writing,Fantastic boss fights and HADES.

Why is it called filly icarus if rarity is her current age.

Because the original is called 'Kid' Icarus. Pit is a teen not a kid. Filly is the counterpart word for kid. So I think that would explain it.

It's not so much that I'm being a dick it's that I absolutely loathe because like I stated they're incredibly lazy when it comes to these game cover parodies.
I think I've said this before but any idiot can do what this guy does with little to no experience at photoshop or even gimp. Now while this might be rude to say something like that my real problem is the lack of imagination when it comes to these pics.
Take the image above. Now if we remove the staff, the title, the background and all the nintendo stuff (because that is all provided with the base cover) what are we left with. A bunch of vectors from other artists on Deviantart. But would there be any indication that those vectors the way they're organised is meant to represent a parody of the Kid Icarus cover art?
Additionally lets look at the Rarity vector. Now this is what Kid Icarus looks like on the original cover 2.bp.blogspot.com/-zDv6M283rTM… now do you see the problem. The point is that they having nothing in-common. Now don't misunderstand what I'm saying, what I'm reffering to is the fact once again if you put the two together would be no indication that Rarity is meant to be representing Pit.
Now my point is that if you take away what they didn't make and were just left with pony vectors then what would you have? Pony vectors thats what. Not "ponies parodying video game covers."

Yeah I need to get this game I hear it's good but the controls are unusual. From what I've seen the controls look like it was from dementium (Horror FPS for DS I recommend it) with touch screen to look control stick to move and L to fire. Is it as good as people say?

Ya know, I'm pretty sure the ponies wouldn't like to be looked at like objects (they do have some self respect. I think they try to do everything within moderation and reason, including modesty but also showing off a little-being sexy but being clean.), so maybe they would be put off by half the stuff on FIMfiction.
But I gotta ask, do you think they would let random bronies squeeze the living heck out them like Grandma after four cups of coffee? I think the wouldn't be so shallow as to go "eww, this fat brony tried to hug/pinch my cheeks/squeeze/kiss (peck on cheek or forehead) me" if they sensed he wasn't doing it with dirty thoughts. Hopefully that kind of positive attention wouldn't go to their heads, either, making them do the right thing for the wrong reason. Then they would be on the other side of the spectrum.
If the ponies were real girls like they somewhat try to portray them as on the show, how, we all know their moral strengths, but what do you think their collective faults as a social whole would be? Unintentional conceitedness? Naivety? A little on the Frivolous side?
PS. I have never played D&D or pathfinder, but I might give it a whirl for the whole sake of the new pony based fey race in pathfinder. Wonder what race/class? Probably a unicorn pally or battlemage, if applicable? Anyone's two cents?

Yeah and I know that pathfinder isn't real, neither is Kid Icarus or perfect decisions. I'm saying what people like about them is a reference to something real. The best entertainment is usually a successful mix of what you know and what you don't know, which is to remind you about certain things in life but still be not life. People can only come up with so much on their own. It's about expressing an abstract idea or value in a story, and some of those can be adult.

You know how this is fitting? In the episode where Rarity got those wings, she pretty much pulled an Icarus when she flew too close to the sun and her wings burnt up, causing her to fall.
