Description I completely forgot about this, so it's a couple of months old now. Only painted it 'cus I was in a hyped up Top Gear mood and wanted to paint something loosely with a lot of browns. So combination of those factors is this, James May and Richard Hammond from an episode of Top Gear where, I believe, they go on quad bikes. Or something, it's one of those rare episodes I have seen but was ages ago and I can't quite remember.

Anyway, it meant I could spend a good half hour flicking with a toothbrush and a paintbrush. Unfortunately covered half my bookcase as well...sorry James Herriot in particular.

Anyway, I don't really like it but it was quite quick and am uploading for three reasons...

a, haven't uploaded anything for a while,

b, quite like Richard's jumper amd the brown flicks on James's jumper and

c, this Wednesday BBC2 8:00, Polar Expedition! Can't wait...and then after that they're showing 'Heroes' which I will finally be able to see!

Anyway, 'tis oil on canvas panel and 254mm x 203 (10 in x 8 in).

Enjoy!

Thanks! I was a bit annoyed when I finished it because it didn't come out how I'd planned, but now having had a break from seeing it all the time I do like it

I know! Can't wait! *jumps up and down* Did you hear about Hammond being caught in the floods? Sad obsessive me that remembered he lived in those flooded areas ^^

Something to take my mind away from the fact that there will be no more Harry Potter books I'm in denial...a decade of my life has come to an end!

And thanks!

He got stranded and had to run 16 miles (I believe) to his daughter's b-day party ^^ and then he was out in a boat helping his friends the other day.

Its so surreal, these floods! For those of us not in them it sounds like an adventure but in reality it's really not ^^ Green sludge coming out of the taps and the smell must be awful!

Yeah... floods are evil things anyways, but ouch... that has to be horrible all the green sludge ><"

Aw, he had to run 16 miles to his daughter's party?! Bless him :3 I can imagine him doing that!

Better running than swimming though! I watched the government announcement and they kept telling people not to swim in it because of the...uh...sewage and whatnot. I think the people in the floods are probably quite aware of that and aren't walking in it for the sheer fun of it!

Lol, aw i thought that it flooded so that the people could go swimming in the streets ;0; that's totally ruined my fantasy now!

I'd had to go running OR swimming in that ... sewage...

No, not so fun. Though you'd be more likely to risk it if you lived nearish a river so you knew it was mainly river water! Though then you'd get the currents! Which would be baaaad ^^

Sorry to crush your dreams

That's okies, my dreams are evil anyways :3

Yeah, we live on a hill and the river's like about, 3 miles away, so I suppose we're alright

Heh heh, hope so! I think my work might if we do end up being in a warning zone. Unlikely though

Polar expedition! hurrah!

I like how you did the brown flecks - reminds me of the time that me and a mate made modern art by putting paint in ketchup bottles and squeezing onto canvas. i got paint on his wall though...
