Description
The 7th party member to be met in Paper Mario: Fortune of Fear, Blot.

Blot is the 3rd partner overall to be affected by the shroobs, but much like Hokey it's only a minor change. In Blot's case, rather than having normal ink like most Blooper's, his has become highly poisonous and acidic. Capable of burning through most any surfaces.

Because of this, his overworld ability is melting things. It's somewhat similar to Flurrie's ability that can be used to blow things away and discover hidden objects, though in Blot's case he'll be burning through them. This can work in numerous situations such as burning paint/wallpaper from walls to reveal hidden passages, or eroding rust that's covering an old plaque or metal hinge to unveil various secrets.

Blot is met when you first enter Chapter 6, Crystal-Cut Cove, though not in a friendly manner. You see thanks to the shroobs, his whole underwater town is in chaos, and in fact his own dad, King Kalimari (though he's not really a king by blood, that's just the name everyone has stuck with since he's the head honcho of the cove), has been completely brainwashed by the shroobs to be used for their own sinister needs, and to make tracking the next Prophet's Moon fragment easier.

In any case, with Mario and co just arriving to the scene as foreigners, Blot instinctly assumes you're involved with all the nasty things that have happened to both his home and his dad, so he proceeds to battle the group in a mini-boss fight.

Eventually when he gets all his steam out the group tells him that they only just arrived, and have no clue what's even happening in the rest of the cove. Then when Blot finds that the group is against the shroobs as well, he joins the party in hopes that they can rescue his father.

His moves are as follows:

Ink
Spews ink onto a single enemy, causing damage and inducing a poison effect with a successful action command.

Whirlpool
Spin around in a frenzy before plowing through all ground enemies. Costs FP to use.

Splash
Jump up and dive into a single enemy no matter their location, also putting out flames in the process. Costs FP to use.

Black Out
Spews ink across all enemies, causing damage and inducing poison with a successful action command. Costs a lot of FP to use.
