Description I admit, I like Pokémon Theories. It's so neat that fans have been able to speculate on various things in Pokémon. Some of them don't make sense, but quite a few of them do. One of the most believable Pokémon Theories I've ever seen is the one which suggests that Red killed Blue's Raticate.

creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Poo…

To sum it up, when you meet your rival in Lavender Town, he's at the Pokémon graveyard (which is a bit odd.) He asks you whether you know what it's like to lose a Pokémon (again, a bit odd.) And then you battle him, only to discover he no longer has his Raticate in the party. He has all of the other Pokémon he'd previously used when he faced you on the S.S. Anne, but not the Raticate. The theory suggests that he wasn't able to save his Raticate in time and it died, which is why he's at the Pokémon graveyard.

I originally stumbled upon this theory years ago, but I recently read it again, and I felt inspired.

Oh, and before you all go, "Why'd you make Blue look like Sora from Kingdom Hearts?" I'd like to say that I didn't. Gamefreak did. Don't believe me? Look at his original sprite! i.imgur.com/LQk4h1P.png

See, most people base Blue's design on the original artwork. vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/p…

But most people don't base Red's design on the original artwork -- mostly because Red looks a lot like Ash and fans want to distinguish the two. vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/p…

They instead base Red's design more on his sprite artwork. tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.M76…

So I based Blue's design on his sprite artwork, including DAT FANNYPACK!!

Oh the 90s were truly an amazing time!

Anyhoo...

ENJOY!!

Honestly, you end up crushing your rival's achievement at the end of the game too. So it's kind of crazy how much you destroy him.

What if Blue had an egg in that empty slot? That would explain a lot. I know this is Gen 1 Pokemon so Red couldn't have had an egg with him, but seeing as Blue was Prof. Oak's grandson, he could've had it with him for research?
