When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought that this was a screenshot from the movie. You drew this so well. Excellent work!

That's amazing. For a moment I thought it was a photograph. I like the way you managed to get the lighting right down to the color.

That was such a great movie. Did you know I can imitate HAL... I can even imitate him when he's being deactivated. You want to hear?
(in a deeper, slow-sounding voice) It's called Daisy. (singing in deep, slow-sounding voice that gets deeper & slower-sounding while singing) Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do, I'm half-crazy, all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage, but you look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.
Nice job on making the pic look realistic.

I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that. I don't own a wacom tablet.
Really amazing work though, I'm wowed. The distortion at the edge of the space suit is perfect.

thanks for taking the time to comment on this and for the favourite! I am really pleased with this peice. 2001 is one of my favourite films because I love the sheer scale of it, the way it is shot and the way it looks. Everytime I watch it I'm inspired to do a large-scale image!

I haven't had a lot of time to comment on artworks recently, but this is so good I'm going to make an exception! This really is fantastically well done - if it weren't for the "making of" I'd have assumed you used a photograph.
You've given good appearences of depth here, and I love the red lights reflected in his helmet. The shading on his face is nicely done, I like the build up to full white - I probably wouldn't have used full white, but that would have been a mistake on my part, because it definately works well.
The only thing that perhaps doesn't look quite right is the white light reflected in the front of his visor, which looks a little thick and clurrly - but that's definately not a big thing, is just me nit-picking for something negative to say, to meet my " constructive criticism quota", and a lot of people wouldn't agree anyway
The film's great for inspiration, though I haven't seen it in years.
Really nice work - a favourite - and i'm gonna go look through your gallery, because I haven't seen most of your recent works I don't think. Keep it up, dude.
