Gloomy, gloomy was the night,
And eerie was the way,
As fair Jenny in her green mantle
To Miles Cross she did gae.

At the mirk and midnight hour
She heard the bridles sing,
She was as glad at that
As any earthly thing.

-Child ballad #39A Tam Lin

Another one of my favorite stories. Unfortunately, I couldn't view the images for either the Weaver or the Herd Boy - I have always loved that story as well.

I knew your pictures from elfwood so I immediately recognized your style.
No one has as many little details in their paintings as you have. I can look at your art for hours and still find something new in your works every other minute.
This is such a beautyfol picture and I just love the atmosphere!

This is spectacular!!! I could go on and on for hours but i bet you get that enough. Just know you inspire me much more than other artist. Just one thing, isn't the faery host supposed to be riding a black horse? It really doesnt bother me because your color choices are beautiful, but i just wonder why you chose to change the color? I'm sure it would have looked just as fantastic if the horse was black. Tell me what you were thinking
