I love how you've managed to capture the light and atmosphere of early morning with graphite. Really stunning!

Thanks for looking at my work... I was very impressed with your pic. Quite a few artists focus on the subject and loose a huge amount interest by not working the background. The skill you demonstrated through the entire composition... foreground, background and subject sets your work apart in my oppinion, humble as it is. I am looking forward to seeing more of your equine work!

Thanks so much. Backgrounds turn a picture into a story in my opinion. I don't always have the ambition for them, particularly if it's a head study but I agree they can give depth and interest. Thank you so much, there's nothing shabby about your opinion, I've seen your work!

I had to go back and check to see what we were looking at!
I never was a fan of pintos till I made friends with this couple who raises pinto Morgans, or tries to. They got a lot of brown horses for their troubles, but really nice ones. Their horses are (usually) beautiful and top-notch endurance mounts too.
Thank you!

Well that's what's in that picture. I have another drawing of their stud, Sparker. Very flashy fellow, only about 15 hands with his shoes on, but handsome and a great endurance horse in his day.
