Days 259 to 265 (7-16-12 to 7-22-12): Oooooohhhh! It's Mordecai and Rigby! A tribute to one of my favorite cartoons, 'Regular Show', created by the brilliant ! From one of my favorite episodes...Mordecai and Rigby enjoy some hummus...but they need some mini toast to go with!

Monday: This week at work I was running the craft shack again. We didn't have a ton of time today to do crafts since it's Monday, and the kids have lots of other things planned the first day, so I just taught them how to make cat's eyes with yarn. After work, I helped Mom and Erin clean and get ready for Dad's party tomorrow. In the evening, I played a little Fallout NV

Tuesday: At work today, we taught the kids how to make some simple origami, like paper whales. It was pretty cute! After work, we had my dad's 50th birthday party. It was so fun to have family and friends over to celebrate! Erin and I had the brilliant (NOT) idea of putting 50 candles in a cupcake for my dad...which promptly turned into a flaming fireball of melting wax and frosting. It was pretty entertaining though!! I had such a great day getting to spend time with people I love

Wednesday: At work today, I helped the kids make lanyards and other bead projects. It was such a hot day, so I was glad to be inside the craft shack and not baking out in the sun! After work, I played some more Fallout, and then Cameron and I got ice cream at Ben and Jerrys and hung out at home and played some Skyrim.

Thursday: We did our typical Thursday craft of painting horseshoes to make picture frames. After, I went over to Cameron's house and spent time with him and his family members that are in town visiting! We went to Cold Stone after dinner (I have had SO MUCH ice cream this summer, but hey I'm not complaining!).

Friday: It was thundering and raining at work today, so I was extra grateful to be under cover in the craft shack. Dan, Erin, Holly, Jack and I went shopping at Costco and QFC to prepare for our epic backpacking trip! SO pumpedddd

Saturday: This morning we packed and arranged all of the food and gear at Doug's house. I spent the rest of the day chilling and playing Fallout, and then Cameron and I went out to dinner and a movie!

Sunday: We left in the morning to drive out to the Olympic Peninsula for our camping trip! It took most of the morning and early afternoon to drive out to the ranger station and pick up our supplies and permits. We started our hike in the afternoon and it only took a couple of hours to get out to the campsite on the beach. It was such a beautiful hike, and the coast is even more beautiful! It's right on the water and the beach, and there is lots of driftwood and rocks and fun stuff to explore. We set up tents and made a campfire and spent the evening cooking and hanging out and exploring the beach. It was such a great first day of backpacking!
