Great picture! like yours usually are.
I might really like that colorfullpicture more. Colors of the car and it's windows are very nice but this one is good too. It just has different feeling on it.
What is the dog looking at.. is he waiting someone, or maybe thinking something..

Wow, I totally love this! I love the mix of softness and sharp realism. the car reflections make me totally jealous, this is a great mix of clean lines and sketchyness, it kind of floors me @.@

i love the eyes here! they look so chilled and icy .. like he's been frozen in time, or, my first thought when the pic just loaded was that he was just about to die and is looking at the viewer, like someone who just happened to be walking by, and it's that thought - like there's an old saying that when you're about to die, to focus on something living near you, and impart your soul into it, so your soul will keep living through that creature (ahaha you probably know where that reference is from xD) - sorry if i'm being confusing xD .. but my point is the expression the wolf has toward the viewer is so intense, it looks like it is trying to impart its soul upon us.
yay thanks for linking the colored version, its always so fun to see the progress i agree, the desaturated version is much stronger, the icy gaze works much better here than in the sunny version. my first thought when i saw the colored version, i was reminded of the movie cujo, have you seen it? it's this bad movie based off a mediocre stephen king book about a rabid dog that traps its owners - a young mother and very young son - inside a car, and constantly tries to kill them while they're locked inside the car. so, your piece made me think of cujo either succeeding in killing them so now he's in the car, or, the mother and son somehow were able to overtake the dog and so it's now dying or near-dead and they put it in the car. that doesn't quite make sense but it's what i thought of xD
ahh sorry for the super long comment
i also love the sense of light in this version, and how you painted the car as well - the bottom part is gorgeous, especially that lower left corner, so expressive
and i enjoy the detailing of the door handle from the other side
im glad you changed it it looks much more provocative this way than when it was a werewolf

Oh, really? That's so odd ^^ I think when I started changing it, it reminded me of a car parked at a funeral, lightly raining, sky white. I sort of imagined the dog watching everybody outside in the distance, I was going to call it 'watching them' but I didn't want people to see that much of a narrative in it. Then it's sort of eerie though, because it's watching you! I hadn't thought of souls, but I can sort of see that it's trying to communicate something : )
Sure! I'm glad you liked seeing it ^^ Yeah! I remember watching a little bit of it. I kind of liked the idea of it, although I admit I wasn't thinking of it when I painted it. my first inspiration was dogs hanging their heads out of cars while they're moving. At first I wanted to catch that motion, though it became still in the end! People also tend to leave their dogs idle in the car. Isn't kind of weird when you walk past them in the parking lot? The ones that stare I mean, not really the ones that bark and explode all inside.
It's fine ^^
I like hearing your input a lot! I like it better now, too.. Else I wouldn't have uploaded it ': )

I don't even know where to begin with this. The shading is amazing, and I always adore how you highlight and throw the shine around in your work. It's really powerful but not overbearing. The cool tones on this really make it feel nice and chilling, and I really love how you colored the metal on the car door. Metal is always a hard thing to tackle, specially when it's a large area like that, but I think you got it down wonderfully. The face on the wolf really fits with the less saturated colors, but I still think the brighter version is lovely too. I really like how you have what appears to be the human reflection on the older version, it really makes it feel werewolf-y. Lovely piece all together, and checking your gallery never stops blowing me away.

Aw, wow, thank you so much! ^^ It always energizes me to here that my gallery surprises you. I really enjoy hearing what you have to say! Thanks for talking about the older one too, it's sort of interesting in its own right but quite different. : ) I like it when people take a look and appreciate the wips.
