I got the idea for this after looking at *UKTara 's piece Fairy Lanterns .

Technically, the bit of land on which we live is a Snowdrop farm, which basically means we get covered in them from December to March. I quite like these little flowers when they're newly sprouting - although by March, they look a bit miserable, to be honest. However, during one of those beautiful frosty mornings, I managed to get this shot, and between the sunlight through the trees, the frost on the field, and the clusters of snowdrops, I rather like it.

The composition took some time, as it required a lot of climbing about - not easy when your fingers are going blue with cold! Also, waiting for that road (in the background) *not* to have a car on it took some time as well.
