Go away, Spanish one. If you call Mexico "The United States of Mexico" which could be called "United States" in Latin America, what do you call the United States of America then?

Cool picture. I assume that the lady holding the flag is Freedom, the lady in the blindfold is Justice, and of course the lady with the bloody sword is Liberty.
We shed a lot of blood in the name of liberty.

I love the spirit of hope and patriotism in this artwork, but I hate so much the word 'America' used for meaning the United States only. America, the New World, has more countries in it than just the States.

I aggree with your comment. The work is very nice, and seems more fitting of that time when we were worthy of hope.

i like how the pole and tip of the flag/banner are bloodied, makes me think of ugly things this countra has done for pride
i think this picture represents our ability to do what's best, even tho we still haven't

This looks like it portrays the allegorical figure Marianne, which I believe represents the revolution and the republic of France. I can definately see the similarities, not just artistically, but also with the portrayed message.

Even if I don't really know you, I understand your feelings...
Even if this drawing was made for another event, it's adapted to this sad situation.
Strength and honor!!

Unfortunately you can do nothing about waut the politics want to...but you can do your best against those around you.
The image is awesome. Great poses and color scheme. I like the 'floating' stars on the flag.

Oooh, I really like the imagery of Liberty with her eyes possibly gouged out. I'm tempted to steal the idea and do my own riff on it.
