Colored version of a sketch from my Tumblr: squonkhunter.tumblr.com/post/6…I'm going to be Belfiore for Halloween so this is just me working out some of the make-up ideas. I recently spent seventy-seven American dollars in Sephora.
This better be worth it.
Conte Belfiore is from Mozart's opera La Finta Giardiniera, which he composed when he was eighteen. It marked his movement away from Baroque and into his own style, and though it is less developed than many of his later operas, it is still an important marker in his development as an artist.

Lol me too! That's the make-up I bought! It was awkward because I went into Sephora like, "Do you have any white powder?" They finally figured out it was for Halloween because no one asks for that. I revealed it was a rococo thing and they were like, "Oh, like Marie Antoinette," and I was like, "...Yeah." Ya know. Because I'd ever dress like a woman.
