Description
I have managed yet again to make ANOTHER collage of favorite bands, mostly because of the fact I left off a lot of bands that I liked. When I can relax more and finish my paper, I'll count the number of bands and see how many more I put up on there. XD!This one has even more -- 140 bands on this collage! It's my biggest one ever!

None of them contain mostly prog or prog/power but the Table of Heavy Metal for example did have its own section for it. The point of those things was to expand people's musical tastes.

well this one contains the most and contains other nice bands from other genres too. Im trying to keep my group as homogene as posible.

What you failed to understand is that my group has a theme, namely prog rock/metal and related. Now if you have anything aginst that I dont know how to help you.

Not saying that. I'm just saying that all of them included about the same amount of prog metal, and all of those things took between 6 and 10 hours apiece to complete. Why one is "Better" than the others seems confusing. To me, it'd be like having a favorite son or daughter. Shit, the first one has the prog/power band Triosphere taking up nearly 10% of the entire screen (I posted that before I even realized how much it would still be readable if you shrank it further. XD!)
That's all I'm saying.

Cant feature all of them, because they are not fitting very well my group theme. Β And if you say all you sets have the same ammount of prog in them then again I have to keep only 1 (which is the curent, Ive choose it randomly if you argue there is just an impression that contains more prog/progpower )

They're pretty damn solid. I put up this mural and all the others in an attempt to give them some much needed exposure.

I have seen them live and they have some very loyal fans. But I think they are more known abroad than in Greece.. :/

The nice thing about these is that if you have a favorite band, it's probably on one of these five murals that I've made to this point, and you have hundreds of other bands to listen to that I honestly think are worth a listen.
There are a few bands you won't find on the murals that should be staples, because I honestly can't stand them. The number is only like 18 bands, but they are notably absent.
1. Sublime -- ugh, God. "I love pot and I hate cops". Great material, guys.
2. Green Day -- worst thing to ever happen to rock.
3. Creed -- even God hates Creed.
4. 30 Seconds To Mars -- I need something with more punch than this.
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers -- I could turn on the radio and hear this band all I want.
6. U2 -- Bono is completely tone deaf.
7. Aerosmith -- ugh... Aerosmith is the most obnoxious band I've ever heard in my life, and Steven Tyler cannot sing.
8. Van Halen -- Believe it or not, there is only 1 song by this band I like.
9. Pink Floyd -- Great band but far too depressing.
10. Nickelback -- do I need a reason?
11. Guns & Roses -- I used to love this band, until the same four songs got played billions of times.
12. Smashing Pumpkins -- see Pink Floyd.
13. Pearl Jam -- see Van Halen.
14. Nirvana -- Same thing here. Way overplayed, and I can't stand Kurt Cobain's singing.
15. Rage Against The Machine -- oh God... overplayed, overhyped act with practically no talent "We hate white people!"
16. The Offspring -- see Rage Against The Machine.
17. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers -- Do I need a reason?
18. Cannibal Corpse -- most DM will not make it on here, but this band especially.

Each one of my murals was time intensive (six to ten hours each) but the end result was worth it.

Well done. Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Ozzy are always to be expected. I also like Dream Theater, Skid Row, and Faith No More. Glad to see your taste in music is so good. Symphony X, Dragonland, and Heavenly also reach the top of my charts.

that is awesome lol. i couldn't stand having that many favorite bands xD only a few of those of those bands are actually my favorites. Sonata arctica, derdian, avantasia, those are just a couple ^_^

My problem has always been that I actually rarely have a "#1 FAVORITE!!!" band. Just bands I enjoy listening to and I have a craving for new music all the time. Even after I made my first mural, which was 105 bands, there were people telling me I left off a lot of good bands.
Truth is: I probably could have made a third mural with the number of bands I listen to and enjoy on a regular basis. I guess it's unfair to call them "favorites" but I do enjoy them.

Dont get me wrong, I recognize and listen to some of the bands on your lists, but none of them include my favorites; Behemoth, Drudkh, Mastodon and Satyricon.

I'm going to have to look those bands up. The only two I know off the top of my head is Behemoth and Mastodon, and both of those I've heard exactly one song by each.
I really am just getting used to a lot of the non-mainstream stuff as I've only been really listening to stuff outside of commercial radio for the last 4 years. But if there are bands you don't know on the mural, you should check some of them out. You might find something you like (that was kinda my intent of creating the murals in the first place).
But I'm pretty happy with them. There's a pretty solid combination of power, thrash, progressive, gothic, symphonic, traditional and folk metal listed.
