did you get a chance to look at "Ad Old Ride". This collection will tour for 3 months in 2009 ans is currently in the middle of a 2 month show. Given that oyu hav ean interest in cars, I am wondering what you think about the collection.

yes....I have so few lenses that will do that now because of excellent coatings. In this case I used Photoshop.

Good, I just want to make sure that you were aware.

The original is not posted. Islands emerge....was taken at about the same time, but it is not the base of this manipulation. Still you are right in what you say because for all intents and purposes, it really is the same image.

lol...

the light spot thing is called a flair...just like the name of the picture. This one is fake. A flair happens when the sun reflects on the elements inside a lense. Because of anti-glare lens coatings, it is not a common thing these days. A good one usually has to be manufactured after the image is taken, like in this picture.

yes most people do. Good quality lenes do not flair easily, one would actually have to work at it. (In the old days, when I began shooting, lense coatings were not as good and not as comon, back then one had to look carefully at coatings to ensure quality results...today it is not even a consideration as every lense is coated...not all equally of course but I doubt that one can even buy an uncoated lense unless it is special ordered).
