Description Finest Hour - Card Number 81: Regenesis

As the blazing inferno died down, it left nothing in its wake, except a charred triangle of swampland. And a few stray flames here and there…

“MY BEARD IS ON FIRE! MY BEARD IS ON FIRE!”

A panicked Starswirl was running in circles, screaming as a stray ember ate away at his beard. A slightly less panicked, and much more practical Rarity tried to catch up with him, carrying the soaked towel she had used against the skeletons.

“Oh for crying out loud, stop running around; you are not making this easier!”

As Rarity tried to help the panicked Starswirl, some of the others put out the remaining smaller fires, while Mordin was busy looking at his first patient of the day: Applejack.

“Good reflexes, Miss Applejack. Or luck. Either works. A deeper wound here could have led to substantial blood losses.”

Suppressing the pain from the cleaning agent the salarian applied to her wound, Applejack praised her luck.

“Fools luck, you see… I was a fool to agree on their plan, so it makes perfect sense to be lucky… EEK! That’s cold!”

“Medi-gel. Speeds up recovery process and seals the wound. However, something strange about the wound!”

“What? What is it?”

“Can’t tell for sure, need further samples for comparative analysis. Also picking up energy anomalies close by. Signature unknown. Nothing to worry about. At least not yet.”

“That’s reassuring…”

“Finished now. Patching up the others. Will provide information when done.”

After a while, Mordin had managed to check up on everyone, as well as clean up the wounds they had sustained against the skeletons, including Starswirls burns and Twilights frostbites. However, all the wounds shared one characteristic: They were much shallower than anything that would have been done with killing as the intent, as well as a strange alien presence he could not pinpoint directly. However, he had gotten the needed samples, now he just needed time to perform the tests, using the rather limited laboratory conditions the swamp could offer. He had quite a bit of work ahead of him.

Oh, Phyrexians and their Infect. Let us see how the gift of Phyrexian perfection shall take hold within them.

I went Phyrexian for Glissa.
Mirrans had their chance. Vorinclex is a great Praetor, though Jin-Gitaxias is the best Praetor.

I am still a bit curious to know what Urabrask is up to. I really hope Wizards will return to them at some point.

I think we're gonna see a Mirran refugee situation on Dominaria. The Phyrexians follow Karn. I think Elesh Norn would go on a purification crusade and try to "convert" the last Mirrans. Vorinclex wouldn't really care but would hunt them for food. Jin-Gitaxias wants to experiment on them for his "projects." Sheoldred will kill them patiently for fun. Only Urabrask would protect them. He must ally with Karn and Karn must accept red mana as his new "Legacy Weapon" against New Phyrexia. Koth must ally himself with a red planeswalker, such as Chandra or Tibalt. After the battle, Tezzeret will swear his loyalty to Jin-Gitaxias, Elesh Norn, and Sheoldred, in order to break ties with Nicol Bolas.

This is merely a prediction. But...I do have a Magic Set Editor. Why wait for Wizards!? I can make my own set!

The card Refresh is the same thing, and it costs 2G, so yours is a little undercosted...

It is, and that is intended. From what I can gather, Refresh did not see that much play (low rating), so I am trying to make a more playable version of it.
