This part of the woods was always a good place, it was open enough to see the sky and deep enough that no one would see me, not such an easy task when you're my size. But tonight was different tonight I wasn't alone. Deep in the forest among the trees someone was crying. Their grief hanging in the air like humidity after a summer rain. I noticed them before they noticed me but for some reason I wanted to get closer, maybe it was concern, maybe curiosity, or maybe I just wanted to be near someone else that was as lonely as me. I don't know what possessed me to want to see the owner of those tears but for some reason I thought I could sneak a peek without him noticing...
