Description Yeah, I've been feeling a little nostalgic about halo lately. This is my last one though I swear.

The Spartans for me always ment alot more to me then just walking slaughter houses. These were children no older than six, (Though yes forced at first) that grew up into the greatest image of hope for humanity in the Halo world. Along with that, each and every one, knew the odds of survival doing most of the shit they did, and not one flinched at the thought. That to me, is the real image of a hero.

I agree. In the books (and I think in the games too) they're called freaks, weirdos, nothing but machines made for killing, and Silva even goes as far as to say that they nearly died out due to natural selection. He said this right to Chief's face and belittled the man that could kill him with the flick of his pinky. I wanted to reach in the book and slap the shit outta him. All I can think is, if I were there I would have told him that natural selection does not apply to them. They gave up their lives for the sake of humanity and never flinched or hesitated in doing so. They sacrificed themselves so that his sorry-ass and everyone else could continue to fight, which is what the original Spartans (the Greek ones) did. That is nothing short of badass, and I could hug each and everyone of them... if they were real.... damn.
