Bio:
Unlike the families of most of his teammates, Serge Takombo and his family defected from the Octarians more recently. His childhood was awfully traumatic; his father was imprisoned during a civil war, and fellow Octoling children were being forcibly recruited into the Octarian army shortly before he and his surviving family emigrated from Octo Valley. Sports served as a refuge from the harsh realities of life for young Serge, but he only began playing Splatoon once he separated the sport from actual warfare.

The Octolings of the Blighton Beach neighborhood in Inkopolis warmly welcomed the Takombo family upon its arrival, and Serge has made friends with his new teammates, who praise him for his compassion. Never to hold a grudge, Serge keeps his focus on the objective of a game regardless of who last splatted him. His latest dream is to help form an everlasting peace between Inklings and Octolings, improve the situation in his native Octo Valley, and, if possible, reunite with his father.

Scouting analysis:
While Red October is feared and respected for its offensive firepower, Takombo takes greater pride in his defense. He seems to always be in the right place at the right time with the right scheme to stop an opponent’s Tower or Rainmaker push—after which he would do his signature finger wag (at the crowd instead of at his opponents to avoid a booking for taunting). Taller than the average Octoling, he has similar advantages and drawbacks as do Augustín and Splatimov , namely increased strength and durability at the cost of being a slower and larger target.

Takombo specializes in Blasters–primarily the Rapid Blaster, but also the Rapid Blaster Pro, the Range Blaster, and the Custom Blaster–making him a big factor in any game of Tower Control. He can also handle sloshers–namely the Sloshing Machine Neo and the Slosher Deco–whenever he needs a weapon that launches shots in an arc. He tactically uses whichever sub weapon he has to zone out opponents and is judicious enough to use his special weapon whenever it can have the greatest effect. He is also intrigued by the upcoming Kensa Rapid Blaster and Kensa Sloshing Machine.
