Fractal Gods 3 : Mad Aurorae

"- The ground was cleft and mad auroras rolled
Down on the quaking cities of man.
Then crushing what he chanced to mold in clay,
The idiot Chaos blew Earth's dust away."

Part of a poem by H.P.Lovecraft, and used as imagery in a number of stories by himself and others. I'm quite pleased that I found the right combination of effects to picture the scene as the Messenger of the Outer Gods finally descends on a dying earth, gouging out great wounds in time and reality until only retroactive memory remains.
