Description
This is a portrait of leafylaurel 's canine fursona Aspen. I've appreciated the color scheme of this fursona for some time now, so it's great to actually have the chance to try out drawing Aspen. This husky/malamute mix loves, among other things, flowers, trees, and mountains. I used reference photos of huskies and malamutes for the anatomy as well as some photos of the Rocky Mountains for the colors of the background. The picture took approximately 3 hours to create, and it's an attack for Art Fight 2018 (I'm on Team Tea). this is really cute :') I love the background and how you used the brush for the trees and the colors you chose for them, the water looks beautiful although the ground the doggo is standing on looks bland and stands out, more shading around the rocks and an outline of her body on the ground would make it a lot better! on the shadowing on her body looks nice, but the airbrush effect makes her body look flat if you added some lighting (or like little lines to show her fur has texture) I feel like it would have brought her coat out a lot more! and on the color of the shading black always helps but at the same time, you should try playing around with different colors! like a dark blue or purple of example. This is a lovely piece of work, great job ;w;
