Description I said there wouldn't be any more Oblivion-related stuff for a while; I lied

did this for her character Erin Iceblade so I was inspired to fill in my own for Kate. I knew it would be a lot of work but it was also a lot of fun, and I'm glad to finally have it done!

Below follow some more details about each panel, to get a better, more complete idea about what I was trying to do with this meme:

1. Pretty standard introduction...Wait! What's with the hair?! The character Kate was born in Fallout, a post-apocalyptic future-universe, and the pink hair quickly became her defining feature. When I adapted her for TES, she just didn't feel "right" without it, so I came up with a way for her to keep it: magic! Long story short, she experimented with a hair-care potion that didn't work entirely according to plan. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but in a universe with gods and magic and dragons, an alchemy mishap resulting in pink hair felt just about plausible enough. She's naturally blonde, though.

Kate is 1/6 Breton, and has inherited their pale skin and small stature. Her parents owned a drinks shop in the Imperial City (wine at first, but over time they expanded their stock to include other beverages from all across Tamriel) until a rival framed Kate for arson. The Murrianus family lost their shop, Kate ended up in jail: the rest his history...

2. The choice was obvious. Martin was not the character I expected him to be, knowing quite a bit about Oblivion's main storyline before I started playing. I thought he'd be a boring two-dimensional hero type, and was pleasantly surprised to discover otherwise. The voice had something to do with it too - Sean Bean did a great job with it, in a game where too many characters sound alike. Then he fit so well in Kate's story and sealed the deal.

The Mages Guild or equivalent is always my favorite faction, because I just love playing mages (Also the only Oblivion faction I've played through, so far *cough*)

3. There are a lot of characters I didn't care for, but Alessia Ottus also happens to be one Kate hates. She has been known to fantasize about doing that to her on more than one occasion

4. Those who have seen my other Oblivion pieces saw this coming, no doubt Kate was intensely drawn to Martin from the very beginning (bookworm mages do tend to be like two peas in a pod), and he wasn't indifferent to her either, a bond that grew over the months they spend working together on deciphering the Mysterium Xarxes and generally saving the world. But there was a big catch. Emperors and wine merchants' daughters' don't generally have a future together, so it never evolved past repressed desire and frustrated dreams, until the tragic end .

5. There are many quests I liked (the main quest chief among them) but I decided to showcase one that was memorable in a different way. I really enjoyed Through A Nightmare, Darkly; it was a welcome change of pace from the usual "go into this dungeon, kill everything in your path, bring me this item", and something funny happened as well. I play on the PC with mods; one of them is a body replacer that comes with nudity options so Kate emerged into Henantier's dream completely in the buff I imagine her first thought was: "Ummm....What kind of dream IS this?!" while maybe Henantier didn't mind so much. It was awkward, anyway.

6. This is Kate's meme, but I couldn't resist including one of my other OCs, Dorian Valtieri (you may have seen him before ), Vicente's descendant. In my headcanon, Vicente kept an eye on his descendants and was the one who recruited Dorian into the Dark Brotherhood when he showed...potential. He wasn't able to convince him to join the ranks of the undead however; Dorian enjoys living way too much for that.

7. I would definitely be a mage because 1) magic is awesome and 2) the thought of me wielding anything bigger than a dagger is pretty amusing Β  (I'm quite tiny). Assuming I suddenly found myself transported there, I'd probably be freaked out by the various critters inhabiting Tamriel And no, I wouldn't be a Necromancer, I just like wearing black (Got lazy drawing the Daedric armor, blah)

8. Yeah, that particular meeting would not go down well Kate has not known much happiness in my stories spanning three game universes so far, and yes, falling for the wrong men has sort of become her shtick. That and hubris. She's...something of a tragic character.

(Yes, we look somewhat alike; no, she's not based on me . She is in fact based on Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers , as far as appearance goes.)

9. I hate tagging people in this sort of things. If any of my friends feels inspired, consider yourself tagged!

Wow... okay, now I need to draw one of these. Yep, you think your's won't do well with Sheogorath? My character's brotheris Sheograth. Yeah... Oromis stopped the Grey March...

But I really like it, I play on Xbox so... I gave a character eggplant colored hair once. Somehow she got deleted.

She's a studious bookworm type, so I don't think Sheogorath would like her much Besides, she's spoken for to another Daedric Prince (Hermaeus Mora)
And, go for it! These are a lot of work but a lot of fun too.

Yes, that makes sense. Hermaeus Mora does like books...

I think it'll take me all afternoon. I can't do anything with the computer when it comes to art, except captioned pictures or color splashes, so mine will be in crayon, pen, marker, and pencil. I'll tell you when it's done and up on the site.

Oh, Henantier His expression is awesome.
7th panel is so hilarious!
Everybody looks great, especially I like how Vicente turned out.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you think Vicente came out OK, I wasn't 100% sure about him. Henantier, yeah...maybe he briefly thought his dream was improving

Such fun to see Kate's adventures in microcosm! 83 I usually play Rogues myself, so the only faction I've had significant progress in is the Thieves' Guild.

Well. That, and the Court of Madness. I have ascended to the top there, and it is good. 8D I strongly encourage you to do the same. Or OUT come the entrails! And I . . . skip RRRRROPE with 'em! HAHA!

Oh I want to, just not with Kate. She isn't exactly Court of Madness material I need to create a more fitting character to hang out with the Mad God.

And thank you!

Awwww. Well, I suppose she is more of a Hermaeus Mora kind of girl. She might bore Sheo, and that wouldn't end well for her. XD I have to wonder what sort of critter you might send to investigate the Shivering Isles. 83

And you're quite welcome. :3

ALESSIA! *shakes fist&=*

Ulfric Stormcloak might have been a racist but at least he didn't torture innocent immigrants.

Wait, who did Alessia torture?

Unless you mean with her atrocious writing.

Alessia Ottus has cages in her basement.

Also she's a massive fan of Alessia Caro, who really DOES torture immigrants.

Racist noblewomen with secret torture chambers in their basements...all of a sudden I was reminded of Delphine LaLaurie Β Β  OK given all this, it seems Alessia may have a far darker side to her than I had thought. Someone needs to call an Imperial Watch raid on her house...

She's a horrible woman. Lots of other Imperials are nice but she's appalling.

"This dream just got better!" ROFL XDDD

And ohmy, I so agree with Alessia Ottus bashing... though, since I RP'd her, I've come to grow some sort of sympathy for her *still approves bashing however* I ended featuring her in one of my most hilarious stories in fact, in the 3rd chapter of Nedhelas the Magnificent XD

Thanks for the comment! Glad you found it amusing.

As for your story...Oh my, that was pretty funny indeed! I'm sure she spent the rest of the week doing penance at the Temple of the One after that Maybe hoped her husband wouldn't find out either, LOL.
She's easy to bash though, isn't she? Kate has some history with her, having grown up in the Imperial City. I picture Alessia as a busybody who often stopped by her parents' shop in the Market District to ask how young Katarina was doing and offer to pray to the Divines to steer her away from the wicked path of magic and towards their benevolence. She would've hated that.

Alessia Ottus must be a very bored woman striving to reach a higher rank in society by imposing her vision of the world without even trying to understand why the world is at it is, in matter of causes and consequences. The worst I guess is the number of Alessia Ottus we have in our own world, like those people who are against abortion, against equality between people no matter their sex, sexual orientation, social origins or whatsoever :/

This turned out beautifully! Β Great work! Β

#5...Your further explanation about the nudity reminded me of using body mods in New Vegas and the Lobotomites. Β I am HIGHLY amused by the fact they run around in hospital gown with their asses hanging out the back. Β

HAHAHA yes I remember that too! There is actually an underwear version around somewhere and I got that at one point Mostly because I used the hospital gown in my comic and certain angles were awkward without it

And thank you very much!

Awesome! You did it . I'm glad I indirectly inspired you to do it

1. I think even without mods you can have character with extreme hair colors. I know I managed a bright neon green with mine as I was playing around in the beginning . But that is a great explanation how she got that hair color (and it is an awesome hair color )! Also an interesting story how she got into jail!

2. That is exactly what I thought in the beginning about Martin!

3. She deserves to be burnt alive . You captured that well

4. I still feel so bad for them two! The red "denied" stamp makes it even worse!

5.

7. I love that scene! I'm quite small, too, but I want a long sword anyway

Overall a well-done meme. Kate is a really awesome character

Oh and I forgot to add: yeah, you can definitely have non-natural haircolors in Oblivion without mods, I was just thinking about it lore-wise, since I don't think there's any hair-dye in Tamriel But there are far weirder things so...
