Description This is the costume I made for Celebration III (a Star Wars convention). It's the outfit Padme wears at the Lars homestead on Tatooine in Episode II: Attack of the Clones. For CIV I made the beads more accurate on the hood and skirt. I'd made a headdress out of sculpy, but it broke in my luggage! And the hair extension thing I brought didn't curl, so I just kind of improvised Pin curls are such a pain! I also forgot to bring safety pins with me so I tucked the wraps up the shirt in back and it became a midriff dress! That's how it's really supposed to be, so I sucked it up and basically walked around with my purse in front of my stomach all day except for pictures I admit it does look nicer, but I felt really self-conscious.

Here's the original, so you can see what it first looked like, and also me before the jaw surgery! It's a really bad picture... lol (I'd been up all night) [link]

I mentioned my jaw surgery in my ID pic, I had an underbite and the surgery was to correct that. Nothing crazy

Hello Heather. What would you charge to create Β this costume for a client? I absolutely love it.

Oh and also, what kind of fabric did you use?

Wow, that's awesome! Kudos to you!!
Did you just use fabric paint for the curly designs on the fabric?

I used a mix of two types of fabric paint (a grey and a shimmer silver) plus an additive to keep it supple on fabric since that type of paint tends to stiffen up. The fabric I used is just some kind of synthetic jersey. What the actual costume is made of is described as "jersey crepe" which I've had a devil of a time finding! I found some at voguefabricsstore.com, but of course it's not the right color. [link] And polyester is pretty well impossible to dye at home! (

Very pretty! Where was the celebration held? I know they used to be in Indiana *the last one I went to was there* but I think they've changed locations??

Thank you! CII and CIII were in Indianapolis. Not sure about the first one. CIV was in Los Angeles. I hope the next one's on the east coast so I don't have to travel so far
