It's meant to be vague. It's something that the characters understand, but the readers don't yet. It'll make more sense in the next couple pages.

i love this fun boy squad. theyre really cool to follow and their dynamics are so intresting !! like, i mean ovbiously its nice seeing what pokemon say but its also a really cool perspective to not know. But they're still loyal and good...... you can easily tell what they're thinkin without them communicating!!!

I'm glad you like the boy squad. They've got some growing to do, but they're trying. I'm glad their thoughts and the dynamic between them comes across well. It's important to show how most trainers must communicate with their Pokemon.

I've suddenly got a sense of deja vu, like I've seen this before... Hmmm...

The expressions are just as great as ever, conveying their determination, their weariness, their uneasiness, and acceptance for what they must do. And the back grounds for Tyne are great, really conveying the power flowing through and that bam of working it out even as it charges through carries weight; the panel where he snorts really conveys his determination even as he is allowed a brief cool down moment.
And it looks like little ol' Huck plans to empathize with Zeus over past scars and how he's gotten to a better place even if the scars will never leave - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

It'd work for a thunderbolt or thunderpunch, but Electabuzz are just mean with their ice and fire punches, and jolteon's not known for defense-- so it'd save up on a turn.
Although a pokemon without a trainer might not realize, or think of using a different attack, depending on the pokemon. Food for thought, I guess?
