It seems to me that as a result of Mary Renault and Oliver Stone, everyone thinks of Hephaistion (or Hephaestion) as a meek character. He never really gets mad. Well, I don't disagree with that. I too have trouble picturing him getting truly out of hand. However, I wanted to toy with the idea.This is a picture of Hephy confronting Bagoas after the conspiracy of the pages (google it, I have no time to explain, but I think most people looking at this will know what I'm talking about). Considering the fact that Alexander was almost killed by those closest to him, I think Hephaistion would want answers.
Also...I have a feeling he never really liked Bagoas all that much.

Each of them became so important to Alex, that they began to respect each other. Bagoas got Heph when Oxhead was dying, and Heph went back for Bagoas in the desert. Alex needed them both, but died 3 months after losing Heph, much to Bagoas' regret. Thanks for the artwork. There's never enough. Wish I could draw, but I can admire, so please keep posting it.
